The interior is warm and richly decorated in the original style of the sixties with travertine-clad columns, teak panelling, a black mosaic floor, marble dining tables on a wooden frame as well as orange leatherette upholstery by De Coene and the Don Albinson chair by Knoll.

Not far from the « Little Manhattan » and at a few steps from the « Botanic Garden » and the Bloom Hotel, AREA 42 is an unique modular contemporary space located in the prestigious old RTT building, one of the architect Michel Polak’s latest achievements. Area 42 is made up of two levels with a total surface of 2,500 sqm and can host 1200 people. 

It includes a 300 sits conference room with a garden square (AREA1), 2 double rooms framing a court yard with a vegetal wall (AREA 2), 2 subspaces separated by acoustics curtains (AREA 3), a 521 square meters room with a ceiling made from glass blocks (AREA 4) and its VIP Room. Kitchen and lift have been specially elaborated for catering.

This former goods train station has been transformed into the most inspiring conference and events centres in Brussels where participants from all over the world meet to share ideas and to create stories.

Beyond the heritage venue

Brussels is not only the capital of Europe and Belgium, but also of Flanders. Hence, it is only logical that a Flanders Heritage Venue is located on the banks of the river Zenne. In the early 20th century, Maison de la Poste served as the administrative center for Tour & Taxis, at that time the largest logistics hub of the country. From here, goods from all corners of the world were forwarded to their final destination.

Maison de la Poste is a masterpiece of beautifully renovated industrial heritage. You are welcome to host an event in one of the 15 conference and meeting rooms. Some of these rooms were created by renowned Belgian interior designers. Furthermore, each room is decorated according to its own theme, always with a cosy look & feel. BRUSSELS KART EXPO

As an organiser, you rent the Expo halls free of suppliers! Our expo halls have only 6 supporting pillars, which only offers advantages. The Expo halls have pleasant daylight and no basement.

Ideal venue, from where ever you come

Each expo hall has a central higher area 9m free height and 2 lower mezzanines. Easy assembly and disassembly is possible because trucks can drive in. The 3 expo halls are adjacent and we offer a total surface of 8825m². Each exhibition hall has a powerful electricity plan, good heating and modern sanitary installations. There is an adjacent business centre.

Our adjacent Business Center is equipped and has a surface area of 12 to 300 m².
Our Brasserie, with its French-Belgian cuisine and fresh seasonal products, offers your visitors an additional advantage. When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy our stylish terrace in a surprisingly green setting.

By organizing your event at the Tricoterie, you are not just choosing an original location. You become a partner of our cooperative business structure. A portion of the revenue generated by your reservation finances our social, cultural and ecological cohesion activities. At La Tricoterie, we also pay attention to our ecological footprint. With 16,700 m² of floor space, the new administrative headquarters of Brussels Environment is also one of the largest office and activity buildings to meet the passive standard in Europe. Products that are not available in Belgium come from neighbouring countries.
