20 years of BSV… What a show it was!
In January, we promised you something special for our 20th anniversary. On 14 and 15 September, the curtain finally rose. More than 100 guests from around Europe signed up for two days of guided tours through 40 special venues in and around Brussels. Let’s relive the BSV Experience Event.
Curtain up at Plein Publiek
Both mornings of our 20th anniversary Experience Event kicked off the same way. At 08.30 hrs, we welcomed our guests at Plein Publiek on the Mont des Arts in the heart of Brussels with coffee and a ‘boterkoek’, a typical Belgian breakfast pastry. The perfect warm-up before the tours set off.
Eleven tours, 40 venues
For this special occasion, we had prepared eleven guided tours: six on Monday, five on Tuesday, all led by the destination experts of visit.brussels. Each tour took in five or six venues, on foot and with short minibus hops, with lunch served at one of the venues along the way.
All in all, 40 venues opened their doors. Museums and historic buildings, theatres and cinemas, industrial heritage sites and a few true hidden gems: every format, every scale, all starting from one single square. Proof, if you still needed it, that Brussels has a stage for every event.
The venues on the tours: AfricaMuseum, Albert, Area 42, Arsenal, Atomium, Au Bassin, Autoworld, BELvue, Bibliothèque Solvay, BIP, blankspace, Bozar, Chalet Robinson, Château de Drogenbos, Concert Noble, Dome Eventhall, Event Lounge, Flow Brussels, House Grand-Place, Kanal – Centre Pompidou, KBR, Kinepolis Brussels, La Maison du Cygne, Les Ateliers des Tanneurs, Museum of Natural Sciences, Plein Publiek, Quartier Papier, Residence Palace, Respace Airport, Silo Brussels, Skyhall, SOMA, Sparks Meeting, The EGG, Théâtre du Vaudeville, TownHall Europe, Track, Tour & Taxis, Tricoterie, Wolf Food Market.
A premiere at Albert
On Monday evening, we moved to Albert, on the same square as Plein Publiek, for a birthday party with a walking dinner. Good food, great company and a world premiere: our brand-new BSV film was shown for the very first time. Missed it? The film is coming soon to our social channels, so stay tuned!
Thank you, Brussels!
The feedback on this edition of our Experience Event has been unanimously positive, and we couldn’t be happier. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, to the 40 venues that welcomed our guests with so much enthusiasm, and to the visit.brussels destination experts who showed us the city.
And of course, this show wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our partners: visit.brussels, Brussels Airlines, Eurostar, Brussels Booking Desk, Hilton Brussels Grand Place, nhow Brussels Bloom, Warwick Brussels, Cardo Brussels and Thon Hotel EU. Thank you!
