Iconic architecture, a stage for legends and versatile spaces
In the heart of Brussels, Les Halles de Schaerbeek is housed in a former 19th-century covered market featuring eclectic, Renaissance-inspired architecture, emblematic of the grand Brussels buildings of that era.
Today, as the performing arts center of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation with a national and international scope, the venue welcomes more than 50,000 people each year and is easily accessible by public transit, train, Since its founding in 1972, Les Halles has maintained a deeply committed history. Conceived from the outset as a place for gathering and the exchange of ideas, it continues today to foster this dialogue between contemporary artistic practices, social issues, and collective experiences. The interdisciplinary nature of Les Halles is inseparable from both its operations and its architecture: concerts, performances, conferences, markets, festivals, installations, and public gatherings all come together here naturally. Each event transforms the space just as much as it draws inspiration from it. Les Halles offers a unique, adaptable, and deeply vibrant setting.
Once our programming is finalized, we make our spaces available to companies, institutions, organizations, and cultural actors whose projects align with our values and our hosting guidelines.
