The EGG Brussels Hosts the 10th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency

Earlier this June, The EGG Brussels, one of Brussels Special Venues’ most dynamic and sustainable event spaces, hosted the 10th Annual Global Conference on Energy Efficiency, organised by the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The event, held on 12–13 June 2025, gathered more than 700 participants from over 90 countries, including ministers, CEOs, and global industry leaders. Co-hosted by IEA Executive Director Dr Fatih Birol and European Commissioner Dan Jørgensen, the conference focused on one key mission: doubling the rate of energy efficiency improvements by 2030, following the commitments made at COP28.

Throughout the two-day conference, participants explored the future of global energy transition through ministerial roundtables, keynote speeches, and CEO-led discussions. The result was the Brussels CEO Four-Point Action Plan, signed by 18 major companies, reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation, and responsible energy use.

Beyond the discussions, The EGG Brussels showcased its own commitment to sustainability — implementing energy-efficient lighting, waste-reduction initiatives, and ensuring full accessibility for all participants. Located just a short walk from Brussels South Station, the venue also encouraged sustainable mobility for international guests.

Once again, The EGG Brussels demonstrated why it’s a preferred destination for high-profile international events — combining modern infrastructure, sustainability, and seamless accessibility at the heart of Europe.
