3 strong points that make your venue unique?
First of all, the AfricaMuseum in Tervuren is known as one of the most beautiful and impressive Africanist museums in the world. In December 2018, a fully renovated museum reopend its doors. Only 15 km from the centre of Brussels, this museum is located in a unique setting.
The historic landmark building is surrounded by beautiful French gardens connected to the Sonian forest and the arboretum. This combination of culture and nature makes Tervuren a perfect destination for an event. In the new welcome pavilion, designed by the Flemish architect Stephane Beel, we have a completely new conference centre.
What facilities does your venue offer for a B2B event?
In the completely new conference centre, we have an auditorium with a capacity of 225 seats, a foyer and 3 meeting rooms for breakout sessions. of course, the meeting rooms or the auditorium can also be rented separately.
You are a BSV member. Why did you join us ?
We have been a member of BSV for some years now, to our great satisfaction. It is a very nice and efficient network where companies that are looking for that little bit more and venues that offer that little bit more find each other. It is also very nice that availabilities are communicated: it is a great communication tool for us to make our offer known to new companies and companies are always helped by a wide range of alternative locations.
Last question on the future of events: How did you cope following the pandemic and how do you see the evolution of events in the months to come?
Because of the pandemic we are looking how we can adapt our meetingrooms better to the organisation of hybrid events. In any case, this will continue to be an added value for a venue.
