Coronavirus (COVID19) update | Brussels Special venues

Update 29 DECEMBER 2021:

As from 29 December 2021, the following rules apply to conferences, congresses, exhibitions, fairs, and any other type of event.

Indoor massive events are authorized with a maximum of 200 people.
The rules are:

  • Only sitting events
  • Mask mandatory
  • CST mandatory from 50 persons (maximum 200)
  • In the next weeks and until further notice, events where the audience is dancing, active, and/or standing as well as team-building are still not permitted.  

    OUTDOOR EVENTS

    • Outdoor events can take place under the following conditions:
      • The organizer has to request permission from the municipal authorities;
      • Maximum 1 person /4 sq.;
      • Forbidden marquees or indoor spaces;
      • Events participants have to wear a face mask;
      • Physical distance is recommended;
      • The Covid Safe Ticket (CST) is applicable and compulsory;
      • The arrival area at the event must be organized in such a way that the rules of social distancing social distancing can be respected.
    • For events of more than 100 people outdoors
      • Events participants have to wear a face mask;
      • One-way traffic plan with separate entrances and exits
      • Social distancing has to be applied, in particular maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters between each person;  
      • Introducing the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) but must inform participants in advance that the Covid Safe Ticket (CST) is applicable; 

    Catering is allowed under certain conditions. They are applying the same sanitary rules as the Horeca sector.

    The Collaborative Committee will reassess the epidemiological situation during the period of mid-january 2022.
